Christian services are faith based for the individuals who worship God and view Jesus as their savior. He is divine and along with God and the Holy Spirit make up the Trinity. These include such traditional denominations as Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopalian, Baptist, and Eastern Orthodox; as well as evangelical Christian (nondenominational) churches.
Non-christian religious (theist) services are for those who worship God, but may not feel strongly about Christ based celebrations. Or, for individuals who do not view Jesus as divine. Many theists do not consider themselves part of an organized religious denomination, or follow religious dogma.
Pantheists believe that God is everything and is everywhere, intimately connected to all creation at all times. Pantheists believe that the divine dwells within every created thing, including human beings. While Christians and theists believe God created everything, they do not believe God is in everything
Spiritualism is an individual practice, and has to do with having a sense of peace and purpose. It also relates to the process of developing beliefs around the meaning of life and connection with others; a feeling, sense or belief that there is something greater than oneself, but not necessarily a god. That there is something more to being human than just our sensory experiences, and that we are part of a greater whole which is cosmic in nature.
In a spiritual service you may hear a phrase such as, "May the universe smile upon you and bring you peace.", versus, "May God's grace shine upon you and his love bring you peace." in a Christian service.
A civil wedding service contains no religious or spiritual references during the ceremony.
Yes, though most people who follow a spiritual path, or other non-religious viewpoint, prefer blessing, naming or a presentation (to the family/friends or community) services.
No. I can also perform services at funeral chapels, graveside and even your home. Memorials and celebrations of life can be anywhere; however, are not designed for graveside.
Yes. It does not matter if you are getting ready to move in, or have lived there for years.
Yes. I can combine blessing your home and vehicle in the same visit, and yes, there is a discount.
No. The only equipment I bring is what I need to conduct the ceremony, bible, holy water, oil, etc. I do not have my own sound equipment. If your location does not provide it, you will need to look into renting it. Otherwise, I can talk pretty loud. This is primarily for wedding locations. Most locations for baptisms and funerals are smaller and my voice is more than sufficient.
For wedding extras such as sand ceremonies, candle lighting, blending, planting, or hand binding, the participants generally provide the materials needed. Of course suggestions and assistance can be provided.
Let us tailor a service that meets your needs.
